How do I take a sample of hair

There are several ways to take a sample and this all depends on the breed of your pet and what is easiest for you. Take a sample of (at least) 5-6 hairs, regardless of their length. If possible, use hair from your pet’s brush or comb, as this will include the root bulb. If your pet doesn’t shed hair, a small cut sample is fine. Do not pluck hair from your pet, as this can be painful.
